On
December 21, 2010, the New Hampshire Union Leader reported that JPSA
had completed the expansion of its Hackett Hill-located manufacturing
facility, nearly doubling its previous size. Employee hiring had also
nearly doubled during the expansion proceedings going from 66-70 to
130 workers.

The UL quoted Jeffrey P. Sercel, Chairman and Chief Technology Officer, as saying, "The laser and R + D services we provide will carry our growth into the next decade, as we continue to develop new technologies and increase our work force".
The building design features many "environmentally friendly" features to save energy and many building materials are comprised of a high per cent of recycled content.
On May 1, 2011, the Manchester Union Leader
reported that Jeffrey Sercel, founder of JPSA, was named 2011
Entrepreneur of the Year by the New Hampshire High Technology
Council. The award was announced at the 23rd annual NH High
Technology's Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY) awards dinner on May 9.
The article noted the approximate doubling of JPSA employees between 2009 and 2010. The company was described as an internationally known supplier of laser systems and services. Its applications include LED, solar, semiconductor, research and biomedical markets.
It was also noted that this award was the second EOY for Sercel, who had received an award in 1994 for his work with Resonetics, Inc., an excimer laser micromachining company he founded in1987.
A press release about the award contains more information about Jeffrey Sercel and JPSA.
